If you are looking for something different to do while visiting Achnasmeorach House then why not not book at flight out of Oban Airport (less than 30 minutes drive from the house) to the Inner Hebridean island of Islay, then arrange for Islay Taxis to take you to a couple of distilleries (Whisky and Gin!!) followed by a lunch at one of the many fantastic eateries on the island. You might even be able to squeeze in a quick game of golf at the famous Machrie links golf course designed in 1891 by William Campbell with spectacular views over the sea. Amazing scenery en route there and back via the island of Colonsay and a great day out for all the family.
